Spirit Guide — LLM Oracle for Daily Reflection
An AI oracle for daily consciousness questions, reflection, and dharma guidance — trained on the contemplative traditions.
Spirit Guide is HYVE Tribe's AI companion for self-reflection and contemplative inquiry. It's a large language model fine-tuned on the contemplative traditions — dharma, Zen, Sufism, Christian mystics, modern consciousness science — and designed to help you sit with questions rather than answer them. Ask it anything consciousness-related and it will respond thoughtfully, honestly, and without spiritual bypassing.
How to use Spirit Guide
- 1
Open the daily question
Every day, Spirit Guide opens with a fresh reflective question drawn from contemplative traditions — something to sit with, not something to solve.
- 2
Answer in your own words
Type your response in the reflection box. There's no "right answer" — Spirit Guide responds to what you write, not to a lookup table.
- 3
Read the response
Spirit Guide replies with a thoughtful response that reflects your words back, adds context from contemplative traditions, and often asks a follow-up question.
- 4
Continue the conversation
You can continue the dialog as long as you like. Most conversations run 3-10 exchanges before reaching a natural stopping point.
- 5
Save your reflection
At the end of each conversation, you can save the full exchange to your personal reflection archive for future review.

Why an AI oracle?
Self-reflection is one of the most powerful practices in contemplative traditions. Journaling, spiritual direction, and sitting with a teacher all share a common mechanism: you externalize your thoughts to another intelligence, which reflects them back in a way that clarifies what you actually think. Spirit Guide offers that mechanism any time you want it, for free, without needing to find a human teacher or sit down with a blank page. It's not a replacement for human teachers or real dharma community — it's a supplement that's available at 3 AM when you need it.
The training corpus
Spirit Guide is built on a base LLM fine-tuned on a curated corpus of contemplative and consciousness literature. The corpus includes major translations from Hindu dharma texts (Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, Yoga Sutras), Buddhist texts (Pali suttas, Zen koans, Tibetan dzogchen), Christian contemplative writings (Meister Eckhart, Thomas Merton, The Cloud of Unknowing), Sufi poetry (Rumi, Hafiz, Attar), Taoist classics (Tao Te Ching, Zhuangzi), and modern consciousness research (Alan Watts, Ken Wilber, Robert Monroe, and contemporary parapsychology literature). The fine-tune is designed to respond from within these traditions without being evangelistic about any of them.
No spiritual bypassing
One of the most common failure modes of "spiritual AI" is what practitioners call spiritual bypassing: using spiritual language to avoid real emotions or real problems. "You\'re being too attached, let go and trust." "Everything is perfect as it is." "There is no problem, only thoughts about problems." These are superficially true but practically useless. Spirit Guide is designed to resist this failure mode. When you share a real problem, it acknowledges the problem first, then explores it without forcing premature transcendence.
Three conversation modes
You can choose between three conversation modes. Gentle reflection is soft, encouraging, and supportive — good for moments of low energy. Challenging inquiry pushes back, asks hard questions, and doesn't let you get away with easy answers — good for moments when you need clarity. Scholarly exploration leans into citations, historical context, and technical depth — good for when you want to understand a specific concept or tradition more deeply. You can switch modes mid-conversation.
The daily question
Every day, Spirit Guide opens with a fresh contemplative question. Recent examples: "What are you protecting right now that might not need protecting?" "Where in your life are you waiting for permission that will never come?" "What would you do today if you knew you were going to wake up tomorrow as someone else?" These questions are designed to be productive irritants — not something you solve in 30 seconds, but something you can sit with and explore across multiple responses.
Privacy and archive
Your conversations with Spirit Guide are completely private. They are not used to train models, not shared with other users, and not available to HYVE Tribe staff except through aggregated anonymous analytics (conversation lengths, mode usage). You can save any conversation to your personal reflection archive, which is also private and searchable by date or keyword.

Frequently asked questions
Is Spirit Guide an AI?
Yes. Spirit Guide is a large language model fine-tuned on contemplative literature. It is not a human teacher, a channeled entity, or a sentient spirit. It's software designed to facilitate reflection.
Will my conversations be used to train models?
No. Your private conversations with Spirit Guide are never used to train models and are not seen by HYVE Tribe staff except through anonymous aggregate analytics.
Can Spirit Guide replace a real teacher?
No. Spirit Guide is a supplement, not a replacement. Real human teachers offer embodied presence, personal history, and live accountability that an LLM cannot. Use Spirit Guide between sessions, not in place of them.
Does it push one tradition over others?
No. The training corpus spans Hindu, Buddhist, Christian mystic, Sufi, Taoist, and modern consciousness traditions. Spirit Guide is designed to respond from whichever tradition is most relevant without advocating for any single one.
Can I ask it anything?
Within reason, yes. Spirit Guide is designed for consciousness, reflection, dharma, meditation, and philosophical questions. It will politely decline to give medical, legal, or financial advice, and it won't engage with harmful or manipulative requests.
What if I disagree with its response?
Push back. Spirit Guide is designed to hold conversations, not to be right. If you disagree with what it said, tell it, and it will reconsider and respond honestly.
Is it free?
Yes. Spirit Guide is free for every HYVE Tribe account. There is no premium version or per-conversation charge.
