Oracle Poem — Daily 5-Word Poetry Prompt
Write a tiny poem every day using five oracle words drawn from the consciousness vocabulary.
Oracle Poem is HYVE Tribe's daily poetry practice game. Every day, the oracle gives you five words drawn from consciousness vocabulary and asks you to write a poem using all five. Your poem can be any length, any form — the constraint is only that you use the five words. Share with the community or keep it private.
How to play Oracle Poem
- 1
Receive the oracle words
Each day, the oracle selects five words — usually from the consciousness vocabulary corpus. They appear on your dashboard at midnight UTC.

Compose a poem using all five words. There are no length limits, no form restrictions, and no time pressure. Haiku, free verse, sonnet, prose poem — all accepted.
- 3
Review and edit
Edit your poem as many times as you like before submitting. The game auto-saves your draft as you write.
- 4
Submit to yourself or to the community
Choose to keep your poem private in your personal archive, or share it to the community poem wall for others to read.
- 5
Read community poems
Browse the community wall to see how other players used the same five oracle words. It's fascinating to see 100 different interpretations of the same prompt.

Why a daily poetry game?
Writing poetry every day, even tiny poems, changes how you see the world. The constraint of using specific words forces you to find unexpected connections — a mandatory word becomes a hinge, the thing around which the poem turns. Oracle Poem takes that ancient creative practice (the word prompt or writing constraint) and makes it a daily ritual with just enough structure to get you started and just enough freedom to let you write what you actually mean.
The oracle words
Each day's five words are drawn from the HYVE Tribe consciousness vocabulary corpus — the same corpus that powers Tribe Word and Sanskrit. Sometimes the words are simple everyday language (breath, quiet, morning), sometimes they're Sanskrit terms (prana, dharma, sutra), sometimes they're abstract concepts (presence, threshold, whole). The mix is deliberate — some days feel accessible, some days feel challenging, and the unpredictability is part of the creative spark.
No rules, just the words
Unlike many writing prompt services, Oracle Poem places no restrictions on form, length, or style. You can write a single haiku using all five words. You can write a 500-line epic. You can write a prose poem, a concrete poem, a list poem, a rant, a prayer. The only requirement is that every one of the five words appears somewhere in your piece. Some of the most striking community submissions are only three lines long; others are page-long meditations.
Share or keep private
Every poem you write is automatically saved to your personal archive, where only you can see it. If you want to share a poem with the community, you can mark it public and it appears on the community wall for the day. Published poems are attributed to your anonymous Tribe handle, never your real name. The community wall is browsable by day, so you can read 100 different interpretations of today's five words — a fascinating window into how other minds work with the same constraints.
Echoes, not likes
Instead of a traditional like button, Oracle Poem uses an "echo" mechanic. When a poem resonates with you, you echo it. Echoes are private to the author — they can see how many echoes their poem received, but there's no leaderboard of most-echoed poems, no public count, no viral mechanics. The feedback is positive and non-competitive. There are no comments on poems — just the poems themselves and the quiet echoes of readers.
A space for humans
Oracle Poem is a space for human creative writing. AI-generated submissions are detected through pattern analysis and flagged with reduced echo weight. We're not interested in becoming another venue for LLM output — the practice is valuable precisely because humans find it difficult, and the constraint is supposed to stretch you, not be solved instantly by a model.
- 5 oracle words every day

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to share my poems?
No. By default, every poem you write is saved only to your private archive. Sharing to the community wall is optional and can be turned on or off per poem.
Is there a minimum or maximum length?
No length restrictions. Your poem can be a single haiku or a 500-line epic. The only requirement is using all five oracle words.
Can I skip a day and come back?
Yes. Missed days don't reset your archive, but they do break your streak. You can always write a new poem the next day.
Can I write in languages other than English?
Yes. The oracle words are always in English, but your poem can be in any language. Many community members write in their first language and include an English summary.
Is AI-generated poetry allowed?
We detect AI-generated submissions and reduce their echo weight. The game is designed for human creative practice, and we don't want the community wall flooded with LLM output.
Can I see my full poem history?
Yes. Every poem you've ever written is preserved in your personal archive, searchable by date or keyword.
Is it free?
Yes. Oracle Poem is free for every HYVE Tribe account.
